Modular Packaging System for Critical Components
Client: Airborne Weapons System
Description:
A leading defence material organisation commissioned Form Cut to develop an advanced packaging system to protect highly sensitive airborne weapons. The design and specification for the packaging was critical to its delivery and success in the field.
Design and Collaboration:
Form Cut’s industrial designers and technicians worked in collaboration with the Systems Design Team, to identify the requirements for each component of the system. Using a unique combination of materials, we designed and engineered a packaging system and aluminium frame, that isolates each component and cushions it against any vibration, ensuring safe delivery and deployment in the field.

The Product:
Modular protective packaging system comprising 27 individual containers, each with unique specifications, ranging in length from 1.0m to 3.4m, engineered to deliver maximum protection for fragile military equipment during transport and storage.
The resulting product protects the asset at each stage of its development, through to its eventual deployment in the field and is fully customisable to suit multiple configurations of the weapon.
