Protective Isolating Packaging for Submarine Components
Client: BAE Systems Australia Limited – Periscope Division
FormCUT DMI Process was used to design and manufacture “Through Life” protective packaging for highly valuable and sensitive defence assets while in storage and during transportation.
To develop and manufacture integrated protective packaging sets for submarine components that comply with the Australian Defence Packaging Standard DEF(AUST)1000C.
So far we have delivered eight separate project sets to BAE Systems Periscopes and supply is ongoing.
This work has already delivered substantial cost savings to the Australian Government by mitigating damage to equipement.
Designed and engineered to deliver superior transit protection for sensitive test and verification equipment, this packing set is developed to comply with DEF(AUST)1000C, Part 9, Section 5 and is manufactured from PEPAK FRAS foam, incorporating recessed identification markings.
