Protective Storage for Computer Hard Drives

Brief:
Develop a kit for the protection and storage of multiple hard drives containing sensitive data.
Investigation and Design:
Form Cut explored the current and potential future requirements for the storage of multiple hard drives, which include back-up drives for server, data and weapon systems.


Solution:
A range of customised, lockable container kits fitted with M1 FRAS foam tray sets grouping hard drive caddies. This particular container was designed for 85 hard drives distributed across 3 trays. As the M1 FRAS foam is readily CNC processable to specific configurations, any number of hard drive configurations can be accommodated.
Benefit:
Form Cut created a product with a security protocol that was readily customisable and expandable to suit customer specifications, with new caddy permutations designed and shipped within 21 days and replacement trays delivered within seven days.
